NFA Debate Team Wins 7 Rounds; Tours Ivy League University with NFA Alumnus
Members of the NFA Debate team competed this past weekend at the La Salle College High School Invitational located in Wyndmoor, PA. The team made up of Freshmen Quinn Fairbanks, Sophomores Anakin Landolfa and Anthony Argueta, and Juniors Theo Pollick, Aarav Shah and Langley Phillips, combined for 7 round victories against teams from across the northeast. The team worked diligently the past few months to prepare themselves for this competition.
As part of the trip, the members of the NFA Debate team along with advisor Mr. Matt Brown had the great opportunity to tour the campus of UPENN in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Students were given a unique experience to tour and visit an Ivy League institution. The members of the team also had the privilege of meeting up with recent 2020 NFA Graduate and Debate Team member and current UPENN student George Eliadis as he shared his debate and college experiences. The trip was an overall great experience for these members of the debate team.
