Meadow Hill Hosts Annual Veteran’s Day Breakfast
Veterans Day is an important day for showing appreciation to members of our military, past and present. For 98 years, Americans have remembered those who served our country in uniform on November 11th – first as Armistice Day, and then, since 1954 as Veterans Day. In this 99th year of commemoration, Meadow Hill held its annual Veteran’s day breakfast on Tuesday November 7th. Veterans were welcomed with a musical procession led by members of the jazz band. National Honor Society students served a medley of delicious breakfast items provided by the NFA Culinary Institute and Torino’s Bakery. The morning’s events included students and faculty members proudly showing their appreciation for these brave individuals through various patriotic songs sung by both middle level and elementary students, poetic readings, as well as presentations of letters of thanks during a final farewell promenade.
