HONESTY Highlighted as Value of the Month at GAMS Leadership Assembly

On Friday, March 11th smiles were on full display for the first time in over 2 years as GAMS held their monthly Leadership Assembly. The event was live streamed throughout the school and focused on their Value of the Month: HONESTY. GAMS scholars were recognized as Leaders of the Month in Art, Physical Education, Music, and Honesty. (complete list of award recipients below).

The hosts for the morning included GAMS Leaders from Ms. Guitierrez and Ms. Deyo’s fifth grade class. Brenda, Kaleth, and Said each put their full personalities on display alongside Ms. Lofaro who successfully guides the assembly each month.

Mrs. Gross and Ms. Rasmussen’s class recited a poem about honesty whilst holding up letters that highlighted the Value of the Month and their school, “HONESTY GAMS”.

First grader, Karter Brown, introduced the audience to ZONES puppetry.  He spoke to his peers on the personalities of each puppet and how they apply to their ZONES.

Ms. Mata’s second grade class followed Karter with a skit on Honesty. They performed their rendition of The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

The Mc's for the morning presented a hand-painted mural reflecting the colors of their ZONES created by Ms. Lemp's fifth graders.

Early Bird (mascot) made an appearance to present the trophy for Best Attendance to Mr. Goodglass and Ms. McDermott’s class.

A great time was had by all.
