Hudson Highlands Nature Museum Visits Horizons Pre-K Scholars
On Tuesday, April 5th the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum visited Horizons on the Hudson as part of their Week of the Young Child celebrations. The purpose of the Week of the Young Child™ is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. Mr. Carl and his team from the museum visited three pre-k classrooms and taught the children safety precautions to take when encountering wildlife. Pre-K scholars had the opportunity to see a box turtle, a tree frog, and rabbit.
