Original Message
Dear NFA Main Campus Parents, Faculty and Staff,
The district is aware of a post on social media with a threat directed at NFA Main. We immediately notified the City of Newburgh Police Department. The district takes any threat to our district, students, faculty and staff seriously and will work with law enforcement to enforce the most appropriate consequences.
A Sheriff’s Deputy, previously assigned to the school, will work with the faculty and staff to monitor the situation throughout the day. At this time, school will remain open.
We are extremely thankful to our students and families who continue to alert our building leaders to concerns they have seen, allowing us to react quickly. The identity of students who share their concerns with building principals will remain confidential.
If a student has questions or concerns, they should speak with a building principal or assistant principal, school counselor, social worker, school psychologist, or other adult that they trust.
Sincerely,
Mr. Ed Forgit
Interim Superintendent of Schools
