Horizons on the Hudson Pre-K Class Celebrates their School Lunch Heroes

Ms. Harding's pre-k class wanted to highlight the staff of the Horizons on the Hudson cafeteria. Her class created cards for their school lunch heroes and gave them some treats to snack on as well.

May 6th was School Lunch Hero Day! A day where we showcase the difference school lunch providers make for every child who comes through the cafeteria. Between preparing healthy meals for our students, adhering to strict nutrition standards, navigating student food allergies, and offering service with a smile, school lunch providers are true heroes.  For many children, the cafeteria is the first place they enter on a school day. While serving up these healthy meals, the school lunch hero has more than nutrition on their minds.  The well-being of every child is important to them.  Keeping them safe, happy and providing them with healthy and delicious food is their priority.
