Newburgh Police Officer Visits Horizons Scholars
On Friday, May 20th, Officer Nick Guccione of the Newburgh Police Department visited Horizons-on-the-Hudson during lunch. He answered a range of questions for the young scholars who were extremely inquisitive. Some of the children expressed their desire to one day be a police officer. Officer Guccione provided the scholars with encouraging words and several smiles while he answered all of their questions.
Officer Guccione's visit was one of many visits across the district as NECSD honors our local law enforcement for their daily sacrifice during National Police Week.
May 15th through May 21st was National Police Week. It is a week set to pay homage and to honor those officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.
We honor all of our local law enforcement for the work they do every day in serving our community.
Special "Thank you!" to Officer Nick Guccione for visiting Horizons-on-the-Hudson and for serving our community.
ATTENTION: Are your scholars or colleagues doing something great? Please contact the district Communications Team at communications@necsd.net. We’d love to visit your class or event and/or post your pictures and recap to highlight the amazing accomplishments throughout our district!
