GAMS Hosts Family Literacy Night

On Tuesday, May 24th GAMS hosted author Robin Newman for Family Literacy Night.  Mrs. Newman shared with scholars and their families  her writing process and what it is like being an author. She then shared her book No Peacocks with everyone in attendance.  The GAMS audience engaged in some hands-on activities around the story and students got to take home bags full of reading goodies and books.  Five lucky students won prizes including a Hess truck or pillow book holders, which were handmade by 4th grade teacher Mrs. Kover)
