Great Things Are Hatching at Gardnertown Leadership Academy
Students, faculty, and staff at Gardnertown Leadership Academy waited patiently for 21 days as they rolled eggs in incubators throughout the school. The students were so excited to monitor the development of the chicks on a daily basis.
On hatching day, everyone welcomed new chicks into the building with smiles and excitement. Many students saw the chicks working their way out. Wet and tired chicks were the end result! A total of 87 mixed breed chicks have been peeping throughout the school building and in classrooms where students enjoy caring for and watching them grow.
We couldn't be happier! Our chicks are ready to fly the coop! We wish them a fun filled life at the farm.
A special thanks to our science "guru" Mr. Portzline and our teachers for taking care of our chicks through their life stages--even over the weekends!
