Author Robin Newman Visits GAMS First Graders

On Wednesday, May 26th, author Robin Newman visited Ms. Purdy's first grade class.  Robin was the classes mentor author through a program called Kids Need Mentors.  The class and author exchanged care packages and letters throughout the year.  During her visit, Robin shared her book Don't Call Me Fuzzybutt. Each of Ms. Purdy's students received a signed copy of the book, a bookmark and sticker to take home. They also colored their very own pictures of the characters from the book.  Robin also shared her book The Case of the Missing Carrot Cake and gave all of the students their very own detective notebook and pen!
