Temple Hill Academy Scholars "Knighted" as Ambassadors of Kindness
During the week of May 23, 2022, students of Mrs. Merli's First Grade class learned about the importance of being kind towards others and the impact kind acts have on oneself. Mrs. Torres-Pagan, School Counselor, read a story she wrote about performing acts of kindness (without expecting anything in return) to the students. She challenged them to perform acts of kindness towards others throughout the week.
The students shared stories of providing money to homeless people, helping one another in class, and helping their families. The event culminated with each student being knighted as an "Ambassador of Kindness" and receiving tiaras that Mrs. Torres-Pagan handmade. The celebration concluded with a feast of snacks.
