Unlimited Horizons Creates Sculptures Inspired by Storm King Art Center's New Exhibit
Unlimited Horizons, at Horizons-on-the-Hudson, was visited by Storm King Art Center on Wednesday, June 8th. The students had previously studied the new exhibit opening at Storm King Art Center by Wangechi Mutu. Inspired by Mutu's art, the students created small clay sculptures of animal hybrids using different natural materials. The projects also connected vertically between grade levels at Unlimited Horizons, touching upon different curricular components from animal adaptations to ecosystems and even literature.
