Gardnertown Leadership Academy Holds Outdoor Concert
On Tuesday, June 7th, the Gardnertown Leadership Academy held its Concert in the Park(ing Lot) for students. The event featured performances by the school's orchestra, band and chorus made up of 4th and 5th grade scholars. In what would be one of her final times leading both the band and the orchestra, Mrs. Dunleavy and her scholars performed beautifully. She played her trumpet while she led the band and her violin as she led her orchestra. Mrs. Dunleavy, who is retiring after 31 years in education, was honored with a song performed by the Gardnertown chorus, led by Mrs. Linton. The chorus kept the energy of the show high as they invited the audience to participate in one of their song performances. The show was followed up with the same event later in the evening where the scholar's families were in attendance.
