NFA Main students perform an all dance version of The Wizard of Oz this weekend!
Ms. Mandy Clifford, Dance teacher at NFA Main, directs and choreographs over 200 students in an all dance production of The Wizard of Oz. Shows are open to the public on Friday, December 1st at 7pm and Saturday, December 2nd at 2pm. All tickets are general admission and can be purchased at the door for $5.
James Lopez, NFA Alumni, Class of 2013, takes the lead on wigs and elaborate make-up. Jordan Lopez, NFA Senior and Captain of the Flying Monkey's served as Senior Props Assistant. The show incorporates several styles of dance: Ballet, Hip Hop, disco, Jazz, Lyrical, Pointe, Latin dance, Acrobatics, Step and even the Jitterbug. Any dialogue can be hear through narration. Music, narration, and video was used from the original movie, The Wizard of Oz and musicals Wicked and The Wiz.
Over 200 students involved with the performance, stage hands, lights, props, make-up, costumes, and hair.
A generous father who works as a lighting designer is on hand to assist during the performances. Through the work of all, we're developing our students to become leaders beyond Academy Field.
