Empire Scholars Connect with Nature, Gardening and the Outdoors
On Wednesday, August, 3rd, scholars from the Empire STEM Nature, Gardening and Outdoors and the Empire Robotics program took a trip to Bannerman Island to visit the famous Bannerman Castle and the Bannerman Garden. The students and their instructors, Mr. Brown (Science) and Mrs. Grosman (Robotics), took a bus to Beacon where they boarded the Bannerman Island Cruise to the island. The scholars hiked across the island to witness the rich history of Bannerman Castle and the beautiful scenery of its garden.
Special THANK YOU to Mr. Kavanagh and Mr. Cameron for their efforts in securing transportation.
ATTENTION: Are your scholars or colleagues doing something great? Please contact the district Communications Team at communications@necsd.net. We’d love to visit your class or event and/or post your pictures and recap to highlight the amazing accomplishments throughout our district!
