GAMS Pre-K Scholars get Lesson in Oral Health
On Tuesday, November 15th, scholars in Ms. Dupper's pre-K class learned about oral health from a Mount Saint Mary College senior nursing student named Morgan. Morgan's presentation on oral health reminded the children of how to properly brush their teeth, the importance of flossing, and how eating healthy foods contributes to good oral health. The scholars watched videos about teeth brushing and also did a little coloring. They also participated in an activity to learn proper teeth brushing techniques. At the end of her presentation, future nurse Morgan, provided the students with oral hygiene kits to take home. Each kit contained a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and an oral health packet.
