A HOLIDAY MESSAGE
Dear NECSD students, families, faculty, and staff,
Thank you for taking time to welcome me throughout the first half of the school year. I've enjoyed visiting your classrooms, reading your notes, chatting with you, listening to your concerts, watching you compete, and learning along with you.
We have faced some challenges and we have also experienced several successes in various forms. I'm looking forward to a new year and continuing to work together with you to achieve and celebrate student success.
Please take time throughout the break to reinforce or establish good habits to set you and your family up for academic success in 2023. Engaging in reading for just 15 minutes a day, either together or independently can make a tremendous impact on a child’s intellectual development. With that, we encourage all of our PreK-8 students and families to participate in the Superintendent’s Literacy Challenge that launched this week.
I look forward to seeing you again on Tuesday, January 3rd! Remember, being present in school everyday is a key component to achieving your academic goals!
For those who celebrate any of the many holidays occurring, I wish a happy and healthy holiday season to you and yours!
Sincerely,
Dr. Jackielyn Manning Campbell
Superintendent of Schools
