NFA North Music Department Performed their Winter Concert
Newburgh Free Academy, North Campus Music Department performed their Winter Concert last week in the Lila R. Etri Auditorium. Students performed in the Orchestra, Percussion Demonstration, Mixed Chorus, and Concert Band.
NFA North Orchestra, directed by Ms. Olga Dusheina-Dougherty, performed Beethoven in Blue Jeans, Palladio, Jingle-Bell Rock, and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Instruments included 1st and 2nd Violin, Viola, and Cello.
A percussion demonstration was performed by student Jorge Mera accompanied by his teacher, Jeff Haynes.
NFA North Mixed Chorus, directed by Ms. Hannah Blair Butler, performed Come One and Come All, Man in the Mirror, Domine Fili Unigenite, When You Believe, and Christmas Dreams. Ranges included soprano, alto, tenor, and bass.
NFA North Concert Band, directed by Ms. Hannah Blair Butler, performed Amadeus! 1. March and III. Turkish Finale, A Cartoon Christmas, and Imani. Instruments included flute, alto saxophone, trumpet, clarinet, tuba, bass clarinet, and percussion.
