Due to the anticipated rain on Saturday, April 29th, Family Reading Day has been postponed and will now take place on the scheduled rain date of Saturday, May 6, 2023.
Join us on Saturday, May 6th for FAMILY READING DAY: A Day of the Child Celebration! The Newburgh Free Library and the Newburgh Enlarged City School District will host the event in celebration of The Day of the Child from 1 pm - 4 pm at the Newburgh Free Library Plaza.
The Day of the Child is an internationally recognized initiative that emphasizes the importance of literacy for all children of all backgrounds. It is a daily commitment to linking children and their families to diverse books, languages, and cultures. This event will celebrate children and connect them to the world of learning through books, stories, and libraries.
The event will include:
Free Snacks, Entertainment, Family Learning Stations, Resources, Games, Music & Fun for All Ages!
