Annual South Day | Thank you!
South Middle School hosted their annual South Day to close out the school year and celebrate their students, especially their 8th grade scholars moving on to the high school level next school year.
On behalf of Student Government, there are a series of thank-yous to share from throughout the year!
-Thank you so much to Mr. Hickey, Ms. Wahba, Mr. Marks, Mr. Schuyler, and Ms. Cacase for coming in early and helping to set up. You Rock!
-Thank you Ms. Wahba, Mr. Hickey, Ms. Sampson, and whoever else cleaned up the field before I could even get out there. That's a personal best for us! Smoothest set up and clean up for a South Day yet!
-Thank you to BJ for MCing the Karaoke and to Chandra James, Cafeteria Queen, for DJing the Karaoke!
-Thank you to Mr. Capeda for DJing the Dance!
-Thank you to Mr. Butrick, Ms. Wright, and the whole PE squad for hooking us up with cones and air pumps and setting up the track for the kids!
-Thank you to Ms. Carbone, Mr. Diaz, Ms. Carey, Ms. Valois, Ms. Larsen, Ms. Bullock, and Mr. Dubaldi for volunteering to watch the holding rooms.
-Thank you to all the teachers who were brave and happy to be covered in colored powder out with the scholars in the field.
-Thank you to the PTG for donating all of those snacks and for the kids! You're amazing and this year your group was incredible.
-Thank you to all of the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade teachers who helped supervise each of the events and transitions! You're awesome!
-Thank you to all of the Janitorial, Security, and Cafeteria Staff who helped to pull this off.
-Thank you to Mr. Donaldson for taking charge of the shirts.
-And of course, thank you very much to our Administrators, Guidance Counselors, PPS, etcs. who this would have been impossible without.
