NECSD Scholars Enjoy a V.I.P. WNBA Experience
On Saturday, July 8th, Her Time to Play Girls between the ages of 7 and 10 along with the NECSD Girls JV Basketball Team were invited to attend The Barclay Center for the WNBA matchup between the New York Liberty and the Seattle Storm. During their V.I.P. visit, the young women were excited to watch the game and even had the opportunity to get an autograph from Courtney Vandersloot of the New York Liberty. During the game the girls got to hang out with the NY Liberty mascot Ellie the Elephant. NECSD Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Jackielyn Manning Campbell, was also in attendance with the scholars as they cheered on the home team to victory.
