Scholars came Dressed to Impress for their very first job interviews at GAMS!
GAMS hosted the first ever job fair earlier in the year for STUDENTS in grades 3 through 5, as part of their Leader In Me Program. The purpose of the job fair was to encourage more students to take on leadership roles within the GAMS school community. Students had the opportunity to apply for and inquire about over 20 different positions within the school - including Pre-K Leader, Student Ambassador, School Safety Leader, Recess Leader, & Art Leader - just to name a few!
GAMS is excited to offer students these unique experiences. For many, this can be a stepping stone: focusing on responsibility, interpersonal, social and career and college ready skills. This encompasses all of the 7 HABITS, allowing students to apply the habits in their own lives. Students now had the opportunity to interview for these positions this week, with several district administrators, GAMS teachers & staff. Students came dressed to impress for the event! Students will be notified soon in writing whether or not they received the job position they originally applied for. Over 150 students were selected to be interviewed.
Check out some photos from the interviews today!
