Horizons on the Hudson Hosts Annual Block Party
On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, Horizons on the Hudson (HOH) hosted its annual Block Party Back to School Night. Families gathered in the Horizons Bike Garden for a fun-filled evening of games, giveaways, and music, spun by DJ Mizz Official. Local businesses and organizations were in attendance providing resources and information for the community.
During the event, HOH faculty provided families with over 90 backpacks filled with school supplies donated by Woodbury Commons Community Dream Teams. Additional supplies were distributed as well.
A huge game of Musical Red light, Green light began at the center of the HOH Bike Garden. The smiles on the children participating in the game were from ear-to-ear. Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Jackielyn Manning Campbell and Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and instruction, Andrea Moriarty joined in on the fun.
