Cody the Therapy Dog is a Member of the GAMS Family!
Certified Therapy Dog, Cody and his owner Ms. Piatt are frequent visitors of GAMS. Cody brings a sense of joy and positive energy to all students and staff! Working in partnership with School Counselor, Mrs. Pattie Lofaro, Cody visits with students and creates a calm atmosphere. Ms. Piatt explained to students the type of training and classes that Cody experienced in order to become a certified Therapy Dog. A Therapy Dog is a dog that might be trained to provide affection, comfort and love to people in hospitals, retirement homes, nursing homes, schools, hospices, disaster areas, and to people with anxiety disorders or autism. See a photo recap of Cody interacting with GAMS scholars!
