NFA West Visits Clarkson University’s Beacon Institute for Rivers and Estuaries
NFA West students from Mr. Christopher Carille’s Field Biology courses worked with Mr. Asher Pacht and staff from Clarkson University's Beacon Institute for Rivers and Estuaries on their microplastic research project with the Fishkill Creek. Students participated in collecting water quality data and samples for microplastic analysis at the Douglas Philips Park in the Town of Fishkill. This "Leave to Learn" experience allowed for students to connect the content they are learning in science to real world learning.
