Balmville Scholars Experience Nature at Black Rock

Scholars from Balmville took a trip to Black Rock. Three grade levels attended the trip on different days. The kindergarteners took a nature walk around the reservoir and created a water coloring painting of it.  They listened to the story Sky Tree and completed a scavenger hunt. Balmville second graders took a hike around the reservoir and looked for signs of erosion. Some third grade students visited the Science Center, while the others hiked the reservoir. Every student who participated engaged in various conversations or activities centered around nature.
