Balmville Scholar’s Visit Storm King Art Center
Balmville scholar’s in Mrs. Garcia and Ms. Rayford’s classes participated in a creative journey to the Storm King Art Center. While observing the art sculptures, students immersed themselves in imagination. As they entered the diverse landscape and art, students found inspiration and shared their interpretations of the sculptures. Guided by educational coordinators Ms. Lugan and Ms. Spierer, the students learned about the power of self-expression. Students analyzed the work of Beatriz Cortez. The students created their own versions of Beatriz Cortez’s the Stella sculpture and discussed the meaning of its past, present, and future. We will continue this partnership throughout the school year and look forward to sharing our journey with all of you!
