FACE Team and Volunteers Serve 100 Students with Thanksgiving Meals
In honor of Family & Community Engagement Day, the Family & Community Engagement Team and the McKinney-Vento Liaison celebrated "A Day of Thankfulness & Gratitude" by hosting a Family Turkey Basket Distribution Event. With the help of school building pupil personnel staff and administrators, 100 students were identified to receive Thanksgiving care packages.
With the support of our many volunteers from the ROTC program, Heritage Middle School National Honors Society, All Sports Mentoring Program, NAACP, district staff from various departments, BOE members Mr. Mark Levinstein and Mr. Philip Howard, and Dr. Manning Campbell, we were able to distribute 100 Turkeys and bags of produce and other food items to NECSD families.
Donations were provided by the Hudson Valley Food Bank and bags of assorted fresh produce were provided by Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital.
Story and photos compiled from the Family and Community Engagement Team.
