NFA Hosts Annual Books and Breakfast for All Ages
Newburgh Free Academy hosted its second annual Books and Breakfast, relaunching this all-inclusive event. Celebrating and promoting literacy for all ages, NFA's Books and Breakfast is an opportunity for families with children of all ages to understand the importance of reading together, while enjoying a buffet spread prepared by our NFA Culinary students, under the direction of Chef Jennifer Caron, Chef Jim Morrison, and Ms. Sue Schultz. The event also promotes a glimpse of the wide range of programs that are offered at the high school. Musical performances entertained the dining area. High school students practiced their customer service, cosmetology, and barbering skills by offering free haircuts, manicures, paraffin treatments, and more. Artists painted faces and photographers took photos, capturing the event. NFA ROTC provided support for the event.
Thank you to everyone who contributed and volunteered their time toward making this a successful event for all ages! Special thanks to Mr. Mike Ragusa for leading the event.
