NFA STEAM Students Create Art Reflecting Real World Issues
The STEAM class at Newburgh Free Academy Main Campus completed their second module on Ceramics and Glass by creating a piece of art that had to reflect a real world issue that was important to them and incorporated glass or ceramics in the artwork. Topics included: social media, alienation, climate change, mental health, women's rights and more. In addition to creating the art, each group had to write an artistic and scientific statement about their piece. Shown in the photos of student work at their art gallery showing at NFA Main.
