NFA Boys Golf | Section 9 Championship Update
After the first round of the Section 9 Boys Golf Championships, Josh Yan shot 2 under par 70 to be in first place in the first round. Mark Yan shot 79 and is currently in 8th place.
The final round will be held on Thursday at the McCann Golf Course in Poughkeepsie. The first tee time is 9:30am. The top 9 after Tuesday will qualify for the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Championships.
Mark Yan won the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association (OCIAA) individual Championship held at West Point last week with a 1 under par 69 and Josh Yan came in second with 72 (2 over par).
The NFA Boys Varsity Golf Team won the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association (OCIAA) Division title with a score of 168 held on May 7th.
Individual scores that day were:
Josh Yan - 36
Mark Yan - 37
Carter Babbage - 44
Jon Roe - 51

Earlier this year, Mark Yan committed to study with and complete for the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt), a Division II school.
The NFA Boys Golf team is coached by Head Coach Dave Doulin.
