CALENDAR UPDATE | Thursday & Friday, June 20th and 21st

Hello NECSD students, families, faculty, and staff,

Please review this entire message carefully. 

Due to the extreme heat in our area, all regularly scheduled schools in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District will operate on a modified half-day schedule for Thursday, June 20, 2024 and Friday, June 21, 2024. 

There are no changes in the testing schedule for students who are taking a Regents Exam on Thursday, June 20th and Friday, June 21st. As a reminder, all NFA Main Campus students will take their exam(s) will  at NFA North Campus.

The modified early release times for Thursday, June 20th and Friday, June 21st are as follows:

Heritage Middle and South Middle – 10:30 AM (Tier 1)

GAMS, Meadow Hill, Temple Hill, and Vails Gate STEAM Academy – 11:30 AM (Tier 2)

Balmville, Fostertown, Gardnertown, Horizons, New Windsor and Pre-K @ GAMS – 12:30 PM (Tier 3)

Thank you for your flexibility as we navigate this unusual situation. This decision was made with the temperatures in our school buildings and school buses in mind. Please continue to send your children to school dressed appropriately for the weather and consider sending them with a refillable water bottle to help them stay hydrated.
