A message from NECSD Superintendent and HR Assistant Superintendent
Dear NECSD students, families, faculty, and staff,
I am writing with news for our community. Mr. Michael McLymore, our Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources has submitted his retirement letter. Mr. McLymore has had a tremendous impact on the recruitment of qualified individuals, professional development throughout the district, on retention of our most valuable employees, and all other HR matters as well. After over three decades of service to the district we can't thank him enough. He has been a pillar in this school district community and the greater Newburgh community as a whole and we wish him the best in retirement. Below is a letter from Mr. McLymore to the community. Dear NECSD Community,
I am writing to express my gratitude to each and every one of you for the incredible opportunity to serve as your Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. After 34.5 years of dedicated service to the Newburgh Enlarged City School District, I have decided that it is time for me to embrace the next chapter of my life in retirement. It has been an honor and a privilege to be part of this vibrant and resilient school community.
From the very first day, I have been deeply moved by the unwavering dedication and support of our students, parents, teachers, and staff. Your commitment to the education and well-being of our children is truly inspiring, and it has been a driving force behind our collective efforts to create a nurturing and effective learning environment.
Throughout my tenure, I have witnessed firsthand the unique challenges and triumphs that define our community. It is your strength and determination that have propelled us forward, ensuring that every student receives the support and opportunities they deserve.
I am immensely proud of the progress we have made together. From enhancing teacher recruitment and retention efforts to implementing effective professional development programs, our shared commitment to excellence has yielded significant strides in creating a positive and enriching educational experience for Newburgh.
In my retirement, please know that I carry with me the invaluable lessons and memories from my time with the district. The relationships we have built and the impact we have made will forever hold a special place in my heart. I am confident that, with your continued dedication and support, our goldbacks will continue to thrive and achieve new heights.
