Heritage Middle School Scholars Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a Multicultural Feast
Ms. Amaro, Ms. Coopersmith and Ms. Gutierrez' classes learned about prominent Hispanic Americans throughout the months of September and October. To wrap up Hispanic Heritage month, students brought in dishes from their countries to share with their peers. Each student that brought in a meal shared what they brought in and where it was from. We had over 10 countries represented including the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Colombia and Peru. Some food items included:
Arepas
Arroz con guandules
Baleadas
Pozole
Arroz con Leche
Tembleque
Tacos
