Teacher and School Safety Monitor Display Heroic Efforts
Heritage Middle School took a moment to celebrate two heroes: Mr. John Kennedy (first-year teacher at Heritage) and Mr. Joe Fabiano, School Safety Monitor. During a recent 7th-grade lunch, a student began choking—a terrifying situation that could have taken a very different turn. Without hesitation, Mr. Kennedy and Mr. Fabiano sprang into action, using their quick thinking and training to respond. Their courage and commitment helped save a young life, reminding us of the invaluable care and vigilance they bring to our school each day.

The professionals were recognized during a faculty meeting and celebrated by their names being chanted by their peers.
