Heritage Middle School Musicians Utilizing Technology to Explore Music Composition
Heritage Middle School students in Ms. Clina’s General Music classes are using the computer program Soundtrap to learn about and explore the elements of music through electronic music composition. Students can drag and drop prerecorded instrumental and vocal tracks, they can record their own tracks and can layer multiple tracks to play at one time. Students will be using this software to compose “calming” music for meditations, a ringtone for their cellphones, as well as adding soundtracks and sound effects for movie clips.
