36 Student Musicians Audition for OCMEA Jr. High All County Music Festival

Thirty-six music students from Heritage and South Middle Schools, Meadow Hill GEM School and Newburgh Free Academy Main Campus attended the OCMEA Jr. High All County Auditions at Warwick Valley Middle School. These young musicians had to prepare and perform from high-level musical literature for accredited adjudicators. Their results will be compared with other music students (grades 7-9) from across Orange County. Student musicians who are accepted will be invited to perform at the OCMEA Jr. High All County Music Festival in May.

Students were joined by their teachers: Ms. Antonelli-Guido (NFAM), Ms. Clina (HMS), Miss Karathomas (MHS), Mrs. Morano (NFAM), Mr. Nazarov, Mr. Robles (SMS), Mr. Santacroce (SMS), Ms. Shackelton (MHS), as well as Ms. Kristen Johnsen the Director of Fine and Performing Arts for NECSD.
