Stamping History at Heritage Middle School: Art, Innovation, and Black Excellence
Students at Heritage Middle School engaged in a remarkable art project with Mrs. McCarthy, using Adinkra stamps to symbolize key concepts from West African tribal culture. In collaboration with this initiative, Ms. Pavri guided her students in researching influential Black scientists, engineers, and inventors in honor of Black History Month. Through an engaging and collaborative hexagonal thinking activity, students explored and connected the significant contributions of these extraordinary individuals.
Story and photos provided by Ms. Zeeba Pavri.
