Teachers as Learners Collaborate to Develop Lessons and Classroom Opportunities to Enhance Student Engagement

Saturdays are for learning! Led by Instructional Technology Facilitators (ITFs), Ms. Conchetta Carbone and Ms. Andrea Merrill, a group of teachers gather at Gidney Avenue Memorial School’s (GAMS) interactive learning space to learn about Promethean technology. Each learning space throughout the Newburgh Enlarged City School district has been updated to incorporate Promethean Boards, an advanced technology that enhances learning and interaction with technology for scholars and teachers alike. The classes are provided by the Newburgh Teacher Center. 

This group of teachers as learners will spend two Saturdays collaborating to develop lessons and classroom opportunities to enhance student engagement.
