NFA Softball and Baseball Field Update
The Board of Education approved the renovation and repair of both the NFA Softball Field (between NFA North Campus and Gidney Avenue School) and NFA Baseball Field (Gidney Avenue) on January 28, 2025, at a Regular Board of Education meeting.
The approved contractor delivered the clay on March 8, 2025. The contractor came and walked the property with the Athletic Director on Friday, March 14, 2025, but due to the moisture in the ground could not begin. The contractor has told the Athletic Director that they plan on coming next week (the week of March 24th) to begin the work, weather permitting. The contractor has heavy equipment and cannot complete the project if the field is too wet.
We look forward to this work being complete and the start of successful seasons for our Softball and Baseball teams!
