Balmville & Fostertown Scholars Students Visit Pace University
ENL students in grades 3, 4, and 5 from Balmville and Fostertown Schools had an exciting opportunity to visit Pace University. Led by ENL teachers Veronica Valle, Danielle Nelson, and Dayana Ortiz, the students spent a meaningful and inspiring day exploring college life firsthand.
The visit included a guided campus tour featuring academic buildings, residence halls, and the athletic center. Students participated in a classroom lesson, engaged in a Q&A with faculty and staff, and asked insightful questions during a student panel discussion. They also enjoyed lunch in the university cafeteria, getting a real taste of campus life.
We are incredibly grateful to Pace University Professor Jennifer Argenta for making this experience possible. We also extend our sincere thanks to Damaris DelValle from Heritage Financial Credit Union for helping secure additional funding toward our transportation to and from the university.
This immersive experience opened our students' eyes to new possibilities and encouraged them to dream big about their futures.
