NFA West Campus Gives Out "Do it With Love" Awards for the Month of February!

Newburgh Free Academy, West Campus is doing it with love for the whole month of February! Each Friday, the building nominates one scholar and one faculty/staff member to receive their Do It With Love award.

“At NFA West, we value rigor, relevance, and most importantly, relationships.” Two students from the Student Advisory Council introduced the awards.

Student Advisory Council sent out a survey to students and faculty/staff to complete. On the Google survey that NFA West students completed, we asked the question: How does this person “Do It With Love” at West?

Dr. Shwep was chosen by the NFA West scholars for their week four winner. Dr. Shewp’s wife was there to help him celebrate.

Of Dr. Shwep, students said:

“He always seems very interested in his students lives outside and inside of school and stays interested in our current projects.”

“Dr. Shewp showed me a lot of new stuff that helps me with certain activities today.”

“He teaches us different skills that we don’t learn every day.”

“He takes time out of his day to talk to me and understands where I am coming from.”

“Dr. Shewp always asks questions to get us to think about things differently.”

 Jazzlynn Pidgeon was selected by the faculty and staff for their week 4 winner. Jazzlynn was joined by her mother to celebrate her award. Below are some of the comments staff members highlighted:

“Jazzlynn is always very pleasant and goes above and beyond when I ask her to do something for me.”

“She has a pleasant personality and demonstrates leadership that is admirable.”

“She has demonstrated amazing talent on the student advisory council board by being a true and dedicated leader.”
