Heritage Middle School Hosts 6th Annual Veterans Day Breakfast
Heritage Middle School welcomed parents/guardians, alumni, and community members to their annual Veterans Day breakfast. Heritage Middle School proudly hosted its 6th annual Veterans Day Breakfast to honor our families and community who have served in any branch of our nation’s military. Heritage Middle School faculty and staff, supported by our Family and Community Engagement (FACE) team came together to provide a beautiful bounty of breakfast treats.
The event was opened by our NFA JROTC Color Guard's presentation of the flag under the direction of Msgt Carter and the Heriage Middle School Band, under the direction of Mr. Hickey played the Star Spangled Banner.
Members of the Honor Society had guided one-on-one conversations with our honored veteran guests to learn more about what it means to serve. The students and veterans also colored special pages together as part of an art project led by Ms. McCarthy, which were brought together to form a large American flag.
Each year, the event is coordinated by Mrs. Tara Lapierre.
