Black History Month Events Across the District
Black History is American History. Black History Month serves as a vital cornerstone in education.
By integrating the achievements, struggles, and innovations of Black figures into our curriculum, schools foster a sense of belonging and identity while cultivating empathy and historical literacy.
It is more than just a 28-day celebration; it is a systemic effort to dismantle stereotypes and highlight the foundational role Black Americans play in building the nation's political, scientific, and cultural landscapes.
