Rooted in Legacy. Rising in STEM.
Our NFA P-TECH scholars closed out Black History Month by celebrating Black brilliance in STEM.
Students researched pioneering Black engineers and innovators, including Mark Dean, Gladys West, Marian Croak, and Jerry Lawson, and brought their learning to life through interactive posters highlighting their impact, innovation, and legacy. They were not just studying history. They were connecting to it.
As we honored the 100th anniversary of Black History Month, we celebrated a century of legacy, leadership, and excellence. Next, we will extend this learning by inviting P-TECH alumni engineers back to speak with our students so they can see firsthand what is possible.
A special thank you to our incredible P-TECH teachers for leading this meaningful work and creating experiences that empower our scholars to see themselves in STEM and beyond.
Know your past. Shape your future.
The legacy lives on.
