Heritage Middle School Students Host Living "Wax Museum"
Scholars in Ms. Pavri’s class at Heritage Middle School recently hosted an immersive "Living Wax Museum," inviting families, faculty, and administrators to experience history firsthand.
As part of this project, students conducted in-depth research on influential activists, synthesizing their findings into digital presentations. To bring their research to life, several scholars donned attire representing their chosen historical figures. During the exhibition, students utilized stickers on their hands to simulate a museum "button" experience, activating their presentations for guests upon interaction.
The event was attended by numerous parents, teachers, and district administrators, serving as a powerful showcase of student agency and public speaking, as students were frequently able to discuss what they learned beyond their prepared presentation. The project was a resounding success, and our scholars took great pride in sharing the legacies of the activists they studied.
