Newburgh Free Academy Inducts 87 New Members to National Honor Society
Newburgh Free Academy inducted 87 new members to the National Honor Society | Sarah W. Snowden Chapter. Welcomed, by current NHS president, Ms. Tina Wang, inductees and guests learned about the qualities of Leadership, Character, Scholarship, and Service before receiving their certificates and reciting an oath.
Qualities of candidates were read by Conor Smith (Vice President), Julie Ly (Secretary), and Dennise Vaquero (Treasurer). On hand to celebrate this achievement were Deputy Superintendent, Ms. Onyx Peterson, Board members: Mr. Philip Howard, Mr. Mark Levinstein, and Ms. Letitia Politi, Co-prinicpals Ms. Susan Valentino and Mr. Matteo Doddo, and members of the high school administration.
The NFA AF-JROTC Cologuard presented colors while the NFA Madrigals performed the National Anthem.
The NFA National Honor Society is advised by Ms. Mary Kate Sinnott and Mr. Joshua Miller.
