NFA Social Workers Connect Students with Community Resources

The NFA Main campus Social Workers (Alicia Smith, Deanna Peralta, and Ada Freeman) presented an event that introduced students and staff to community resources.  The goal was to connect students with valuable information and resources that exist in our community.  Each agency hosted a table which allowed students to engage, ask questions, and learn more about what they offer and how their programs work.  Students partook  in games and giveaways and two lucky students were the raffle winners of gift baskets.
Special thanks goes to our community partners for supporting this effort:
*Access Supports for Living: Reach
* Fearless!
* Planned Parenthood of Greater New York
*Maternal Infant Services Network (MISN)
*Cornell Cooperative Extension: The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP)
*Newburgh Free Library
*Alcohol & Drug Awareness Council of Orange County
*TEAM Newburgh
*Mental Health Association
