Heritage Middle School Welcomes 70 New Inductees at 25th Anniversary National Junior Honor Society Ceremony
Heritage Middle School celebrated the 25th anniversary of their traditional induction into the Vincent E. Hufford Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society, by welcoming 70 middle school scholars.
The NFA AF-JROTC presented colors and three middle school scholars played traditional songs to begin the event, before reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
Returning member and NFA Class of 2026 Valedictorian, Steven Yang, delivered keynote remarks of inspiration to his younger classmates. Rachel Ferrante read words of encouragement from Past NJHS President and Class of 2026 Salutatorian, Tina Wang.
HMS NJHS members Rachel Ferrante, Annaliyha Gonzalez, Haily Clarke, Allison Morocho Avila, and Noemi Garcia recited messages of the organization's pillars: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character, and Citizenship before leading the oath of members to the new members and lighting candles.
After the ceremony, families enjoyed a reception with goodies and treats donated by Heritage Middle School faculty, staff, and the PTO.
