Public Service Announcement | Halloween Curfews

Municipalities in our district have set curfews for minors this weekend. A general overview of the curfews state that minors should not be outside in the community without a parent or guardian from 9pm to 6am beginning Friday, October 30, 2026 and ending Sunday, November 1st, depending on municipality. Some exceptions apply. Please click the link corresponding to your municipality to learn more.

Creating a safe environment for our young people requires a united effort between families, schools, and local leaders. Reinforcing reasonable evening curfews plays a vital role in minimizing risks, preventing unsafe situations, and supporting overall student well-being.

Key Areas of Partnership:

  1. Shared Accountability: Ensuring students adhere to local curfew guidelines and family expectations helps maintain safety both on and off school grounds.

  2. Proactive Monitoring: Knowing your child's whereabouts during non-school hours helps prevent potential safety hazards and peer-related conflicts.

  3. Prioritizing Health & Attendance: Consistent curfews promote better sleep habits, directly contributing to improved attendance, behavior, and academic success.

By working together as active partners, we can create a secure and nurturing environment where every child can thrive safely.
